Diffco is looking for a Full Stack AI Engineer to join a fast-scaling SaaS team building AI-native software. You’ll speed up the delivery of AI features, help shape the architecture behind agentic workflows, and support the rollout of a company-wide rebrand.
What you’ll do
- Own AI-powered features from concept to production, with a center of gravity in the backend and LLM integration layer
- Build and maintain the plumbing behind AI agents, RAG workflows and API integrations with LLM providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic
- Refactor and modernize legacy services, designing them to be AI-ready
- Partner with product, design and research colleagues across a distributed team
- Ship design changes tied to the rebrand — typography, assets and UI components
Must-have skills
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including proven work on SaaS/B2B products
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React and PostgreSQL
- Production experience putting LLMs into real systems: prompt engineering, tool use, context management
- Working knowledge of agentic frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex or comparable) or experience building custom agent pipelines
- Solid grounding in system design and enterprise-scale performance
- A bias toward shipping quality work quickly
Nice to have
- Hands-on time with vector databases — pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate
- Legacy system migrations or multi-region infrastructure experience
