2Advanced Studios
2Advanced Studios is one of the studios that shaped the visual language of the early interactive web. Eric Jordan founded it in 1999, and it grew from four people into a 35-person team during the rise of Flash. The studio built cinematic, story-driven web experiences for Nintendo, Activision, LucasArts, Capcom, Marvel, Warner Bros., Ford, Lexus, Motorola, AOL and many others. Its landmark site series, V1 through V5, became a reference point for a generation of designers. V3 “Expansions” was named the FWA’s Most Influential Flash Site of the Decade, and the studio was inducted into the FWA Hall of Fame.
In 2024, 2Advanced returned as a world-building brand and experimental design platform. It now brings its original spirit of storytelling, atmosphere and craft into modern technology. The studio rebuilt V3 Expansions in Rive and React as part of an ongoing partnership with Rive. It restored the Prophecy and Attractor sites through Ruffle, and the Prophecy archive won FWA of the Day. It also launched new experiences such as the Kesey Signal “Field Station 02” microsite, which was nominated on Awwwards.
Beyond client work, 2Advanced runs a community of more than 900 designers and motion artists on Discord. Through Patreon and its gear store, it releases tools for creatives: FUI and HUD kits, sound packs and Illustrator panels.
