Telemetron Launches AI Support Platform Built Specifically for Hardware Companies
Telemetron, a Y Combinator Fall 2025 company, is building an AI-powered support and operations platform tailored for hardware products — and going after a category that most modern support platforms quietly ignore: the messy, high-stakes world of hardware customer support. The platform serves medical devices, consumer electronics, industrial hardware, robotics, and the rest of the long tail of physical products that come with warranties, firmware, spare parts, and a support experience that rarely looks anything like a SaaS ticket queue.
Telemetron’s platform unifies ticketing, device diagnostics, order tracking, and product documentation into a single intelligent system. Crucially, its AI agents connect directly to devices, APIs, and backend systems, meaning they can pull live telemetry from a piece of hardware in the field while simultaneously looking at an order history, a firmware version, and the relevant troubleshooting documentation. The result is faster resolutions, smarter routing, and support experiences that can finally match the product complexity they are wrapped around.

It is a pitch that lands with particular weight in industries where a support ticket is often the difference between an uninterrupted medical procedure, a running factory line, or a functioning robot — and a very expensive outage.
Founded and based in San Francisco, Telemetron is led by Shivani Patel, whose background reads like a purpose-built resume for the problem. Patel previously built all of the AI support software for Starlink at SpaceX, including an AI troubleshooting system that root-caused every customer support inquiry using live Starlink device data. She led the development of the Starlink app and web chatbots as well as an AI copilot for customer support agents, and also built fully secure, on-premise coding agents for SpaceX engineers. That combination — consumer-scale AI support, hardware telemetry integration, and secure on-prem deployments — is exactly the kind of rare operator experience the hardware industry has been waiting for.
The market context helps explain why. Zendesk, Intercom, and the rest of the incumbent support-software category were designed around pure-software companies, where the ticket is usually the whole problem. Hardware is different: a single inquiry can span a device’s serial number, firmware revision, shipping status, installation state, regulatory paperwork, and the idiosyncrasies of a specific customer environment. Trying to fit that into a generic ticketing tool typically produces one of two outcomes — teams bolt together a Frankenstein of CRMs, PLMs, diagnostics dashboards, and shipping trackers, or they simply absorb the inefficiency as the cost of doing business. Neither is tenable as hardware companies scale into larger installed bases.
Telemetron’s thesis is that an AI-native platform, with agents that can move between devices, order systems, and documentation without human hand-offs, will collapse that sprawl into a single coherent experience. For medical device makers, consumer electronics brands, industrial hardware vendors, and the new wave of robotics companies coming out of Silicon Valley, the promise is faster first-response times, lower cost per ticket, and better customer satisfaction without hiring a proportionally larger support organization.
